Team USA Media Summit
The Team USA Media Summit provides media with unprecedented interview opportunities and access to America's top Olympians, Paralympians and hopefuls from all sports leading into the PyeongChang Games. Print, broadcast, digital and photo journalists are invited to conduct interviews and gather content during press conferences, roundtables, photo shoots, broadcast interviews, sport demonstrations and lifestyle segments. The event is open to the working press only. Credentials are required for admission to all Media Summit sessions and events.

Thank you for joining us in this important endeavor and for your ongoing role in helping tell the amazing stories of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes. We hope you find the Media Summit helpful and inspiring in your coverage of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

The event is open to the working press only. Credentials are required for admission to all Media Summit sessions and events.

5:30 p.m. – Buses depart for sport demonstrations and media reception
6-9:30 p.m. – Dinner and sport demonstrations

PRESS CONFERENCES & MEDIA WORKROOM
Location: Grand Summit, Kokopelli Grand Ballroom II

All registered media are welcome to attend the Media Summit press conferences. The featured individuals will be seated on a stage at the front of the room, from which they will address the media and answer questions. A camera platform with a mult box and power will be available in the back of the room. Press conference sessions will last approximately 75-90 minutes. In most cases, participants will remain on the stage for approximately 20-30 minutes before the press conference breaks into a roundtable format and informal questioning.

ROUNDTABLE SESSIONS
Location: Grand Summit, Kokopelli Grand Ballroom I

All registered media are welcome to attend the Media Summit roundtable sessions. The individuals will be set up at tables throughout the room. During these sessions, media can go from table to table to conduct interviews. Roundtable sessions will last approximately 75-90 minutes.

NOTE: Athletes, coaches and support staff will participate in either a press conference or roundtable session, but not both.

BROADCAST SESSIONS
Location: Grand Summit, Third Floor Suites

Video broadcast outlets that reserve space in advance will have the opportunity to tape sit-down, one-on-one interviews with athletes, coaches and support staff. Outlets will be grouped into rooms, with each room featuring a backdrop, mult box and microphones. Athletes, coaches and staff will rotate through each room, with allotted time based on the number of participants per rotation. Most broadcast outlets will share their room with one or more other outlets.

PHOTO SESSIONS
Location: Grand Summit, outdoor Pavilion

Photo booths will be set up for still photographers who have reserved space in advance. Athletes will rotate through each booth, with allotted time based on the number of photographers.


NBC SESSIONS
Location: Grand Summit, White Pine Ballroom, Painted Horse & Arrowhead Meeting Rooms

Team USA broadcast partner NBCUniversal and its family of networks will capture content with athletes during rotations among its rooms.

SOCIAL MEDIA LOUNGE
Location: Owners Lounge, Mezzanine Level
USOC Contact: Tommy Schield
The Social Media Lounge will provide a unique opportunity for pre-selected social platforms to gather one-on-one digital content with Team USA hopefuls in the lead up to the PyeongChang Games. Athletes will spend 40 minutes in the lounge, rotating between stations.

LIFESTYLE SESSIONS
Location: Grand Summit, Fourth Floor Suites

Media outlets that have requested special lifestyle sessions with athletes will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. Lifestyle sessions will take place in the early mornings, throughout each day and in the evenings after the athlete interview sessions have concluded.
